Stand about Marco's being buried on Libingan ng mga bayani.

When a man is gone, human decency dictates that he be remembered for the good he accomplished, and not for his mistakes. Nobody wants to be remembered for his failings.Who would not? On many counts he was a great and outstanding Filipino such as being the president, a lawyer, and many more. He was a soldier of the republic and fought for our country. If other military men like Angelo Reyes can be buried in the LNMB, why not Marcos? As for being the former president, he should be buried in the Heroes’ Cemetery. The main reason for the national pantheon’s according to Section 1 of Republic Act No. 289 is “to perpetuate the memory of all the Presidents of the Philippines, national heroes and patriots for the inspiration and emulation of this generation and of generation still unborn”. Therefore, the constitution allows for all duly elected presidents to be buried in the Heroes' Cemetery. I say YES to Marcos to be buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Ferdinand Marcos contributed a great deal to our country's progress. During his presidential term, the Philippines became Asia's #1 exporter of rice. Also, lots of well-known establishments and infrastructures were built during his period. As for my experience, my mother told me that Marcos was a great leader that enables us to be one of the top in around the Asia, as well as the world. So, with all the informations I have gotten, I can clearly say that I am not against Marcos’ burial in Heroes’ Cemetery.
